Breakfast at Karma

The Karma kitchen

Food is how
Karma says welcome

From the garden

Vegetarian, seasonal, made from scratch

Some of what reaches your plate comes straight from our own garden — picked the same morning it’s cooked. What we don’t grow ourselves, we carry back from the village market: sun-ripened vegetables, fresh herbs, local cheese, honey and walnuts, whatever the season is giving. Entirely vegetarian, never from a packet, and about as fresh as food can be.

As Georgia slowly falls for plant-based cooking, we’re proud to be among the country’s most loved vegetarian kitchens — come hungry, and leave with both belly and soul full.

A Karma breakfast

Every morning, 9–11

Slow mornings start here

A generous spread of little dishes, laid out with care while the house fills with the smell of deliciousness just out of the oven — closer to a Georgian family table than a hotel buffet. Oven-warm puri, homemade granola and jams, local cheese and honey, garden eggs, fruit picked that morning, and coffee worth a second cup.

The communal table at Karma

The communal table

A new menu, every single day

Each afternoon the kitchen takes whatever is freshest and builds a dinner from scratch — spiced pumpkin soup one night, a smoky eggplant stew the next, always vegetarian, always a small surprise. Pull up a chair at the long table; the conversation tends to outlast the wine.

Sharing the communal table at Karma

Around the table

We eat together

The heart of Karma isn’t the kitchen — it’s the table it feeds. Most evenings everyone gathers under the fairy lights: guests, volunteers, the odd passing traveller, dishes handed from one end to the other.

Come as you are, find a seat, and stay as long as the evening keeps you.

Barma, the garden bar at night

Day & night

Barma, the garden bar

By day a quiet corner to work or linger over coffee; by night, our little bar Barma comes alive. Help yourself from a growing menu — local craft beer, a bottle of regional wine, garden-herb lemonades, kombucha and filter coffee — pull up beside good company, and don’t be surprised if the evening ends in a little singing and dancing.
